This article presents a car rental experience in Georgia, focusing on the cities of Tbilisi and Batumi, two of the country's most prominent tourist destinations. The experience explores cities and natural landmarks using a private vehicle, rather than relying on public transportation.
Upon arrival in Tbilisi, the car was picked up from a rental facility near the airport. The vehicle was in good condition and ready for use. The pickup process included a general explanation of the car's specifications and handover procedures, as is standard practice with local rental companies.
The car provided freedom of movement within Tbilisi and allowed visitors to explore a number of its well-known landmarks, including the historic Old Town, Narikala Fortress overlooking the city, the Peace Bridge, Freedom Square, and the banks of the Kura River. This private vehicle facilitated easy access to these sites and movement between them within the city's urban fabric.
The mobility also included areas surrounding Tbilisi, including well-known natural sites located outside the urban center, where the car provided access to these areas without being bound by specific routes or timetables.
After our stay in Tbilisi, we moved to Batumi, a city on Georgia's Black Sea coast. Batumi is a popular tourist destination with beaches, entertainment venues, and modern amenities. Having a car allowed us to easily get around the city and explore its various districts.
During the stay in Batumi, the car was used to travel between coastal areas and urban facilities, and was subsequently returned in accordance with the procedures adopted by the rental company, without any exceptional notes being recorded on the return process.
